What is a Lion ?

Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest community service organization with clubs around the world.

Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.

Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.

The Simcoe Lions Club was founded in March, 1931. We celebrated our 90th anniversary in 2021.

All monies raised from the public go to charitable causes – all administration costs are paid by Lions membership fees.

About
The club boasts approx. 100 members and is one of the largest in our district. Members come from all walks of life. Several of our long standing members have been with us for over 50 years of community service. Members can participate in any number of activities that range from youth services, our annual variety show, education and the environment (to name just a few!).

The club meets from Sept to June every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month @ 6:45pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Simcoe. If joining the club interests you (we’d love to have you!) please use the contact form and someone from our membership team will get in touch.

We are proud of our accomplishments past, present and future.
